Show Edward Cox of Hamilton's Fort, who has been confined to his bed for two months, is able to get around again, without crutches. Parry and children have returned from Salt Lake City, where Mrs. Parry went several weeks since in order to obtain the services of a specialist in behalf of her little 10 year old daughter Ramona, who was suffering from complications arising out of an aggrivated case of tonsilitis. Wo arc pleased to report that the little lit-tle miss is very much Improved In health In fact quite strong again. Incidentally we might mention that Mr. Parry is not sorry to have his family with him once more. Two automobiles which had Just mado tho trip overland via the "Old Mormon Trail" from California, arrived ar-rived in Cedar City last Tuesday. They were bound for Twin Falls. It was reported by tho chauffeurs that tho road was not bad for tho most part, oxcept tho last 50 or 75 miles, tho worst being from St. George here, tho rond being very muddy at tho time thoy passed over it. Of course, they met with a few difficulties along tho way, such as getting their engines drowned in tho Santa Clara Crek, but they think that a moderate amount of labor now will put tho route in condition con-dition for comfortable travel. What's the matter with the school district selling the Parowan School building to the County for a county court house and making of tho present pres-ent court houso a modern cell house? Knox of Beaver will probably bo a candidate for the office of Attorney General of Utah before the republican state convention this fall. Mr. Knox stands well with tho republicans of the southern counties, and also with tho Bar Association of the stato. Ho is eminently qualified and has tho very best wishes of The Record in his candidacy. can-didacy. It is definitely stated by friends of William B. Hlggins of Fillmore that ho will bo a candidate before the rc-publicaan rc-publicaan convention next fall for the nomination of district attorney. Mr. Hlggins is said to have not only the support of his own county, but of a considorablo portion of the district bb well. Having been born and raised In Washington county he will naturally bo in lino for tho support of delegates from that county, and the indications are that he will be a hard candidate to down. Tho voters of Iron county should bear in mind that there is to be a full set of county officers elected this fall, and should begin thinking about the available material. As a rule, we believe be-lieve that the county has a very competent com-petent set of officers, but a few beneficial ben-eficial changes can nodoubt be made.
