Show B AS TO THE COUNTY PAIR. I1" HE question as to whether or not . Cedar City should accede to tho My request of Parowan that we concede ' to them as a permanent institution at HB that place the annual county fairs. R hnHJibyen. uppermost in tho minds of n Br: Kron, matiy people Xor Ihe past week, WEt and trie question was given most cure- jjffifik ful consideration before arriving at a O- decision, but when the matter finally $ftj reached a vote it -was practically ij3m unanimous in favor of keeping the Oil fair no it has been for a number of ffiflj years, and alternating it between Co- RH dar and Parowan each year. flfl .The discussion of the subject was H notaltogother one-sided, however. For B there -were a number who advoedted, H at the outset, the propriety of grnnt- B ing Parowan's request in tho inter- B esta of good feeling und unity in thg H county. Tho majority, however, felt Bl B; that Cedar was entitled to ns much consideration as sho had received in the past, and inasmuch as wo were nsking for no new concessions, that we should not be expected to yield what wo already had. And so a motion wns made and duly carried, that Parowan be advised ad-vised in a courteous nnd friendly spirit, spir-it, that we were satisfied to allow tho arrangement that has existed of recent re-cent years wilh reference to tho county coun-ty fair, to continue. It wns heartily and unanimously decided to get behind the matter6f the fair this year, by those present at the mass meeting, and give it .our hearty and whole-souled support, a comitlcte from tho Commercial club being appointed to confer with tho County Fair committee, with u view to getting the matter under way at the earliest possible date. |
