Show Care of the Harness. In order to keep tho harness soft, pliable, and strong, uso a good prepared pre-pared harness oil, such as Kneadsfoot, says Prof. L. R. Humphries of Farm Mechanic department of tho Utah Agricultural College. Do not uso linseed oil or other such oils for this purpose as they do no good and are often Injurious, besides making tho harness very disagreeable to handle. When applying tho harness oil uso a cloth dampener with tho oil, or a small soft brush which is still better. Do not use too much oil; jush what tho leather will absorb is all that is needed, need-ed, and if moro than this is used it is only wasted. In a fow hours after oiling go over tho hnrncss with a dry cloth and wipe off all tho surplus oil and bend and work tho leather to make it soft and pliable. |
