Show WHEN COUNTY FAIRS WILL BE SUCCESSFUL County fairs will be successful when farmers claim them and place their maiks and brands on them. This will not necessarily eliminate good wholesome sports and recreations but will emphasize over them agricultural education and the economic features. There is no better place for the farmer to study live stock, crops and foods than at a real good fair, by making comparisons. There is no place equal to a good fair to advertise agricultural products, pro-ducts, especially animals. And the fair is unsurpassed in possibilities especially es-pecially in the county, for wholesome recreation. The various committees of the Iron county Fair need the support of each farmer in the county, both as members mem-bers of the organization and as individuals, in-dividuals, in making this year's fair a success. Collect bundles of choice grain, samples of corn, forage, roots and vegetables and get them in the fair in the form of an exhibit as your brand. And don't leave those good animals home and later tell your neighbor how easy your animals would have taken prizes. ALMA ESPLIN, County Agent. |
