Show STAKE CONFERENCE SEPTJ3 AND 1 4 DISTINC.CISHED PARTY OF CROUCH OFFICIALS ARE TO BE AT SESSIONS OF CONFERENCE IN PAROWAN NEXT WEEK. The Stake Presidency is just in receipt of a telegram from headquarters of the Church in Salt Lake City advising advis-ing them of the postponement of the quarterly conference of this stake from Saturday and Sunday, Sept S and 9, to Thursday and Friday. September 13 and 14. This is on account of the fact that a large party of Church Ollicials, including President Joseph F. Smith, Pres. AnUion H. Lund, Apostles Grant, MacKay, Hyrum and Joseph G. Smith, and Church Historian Jensen, accompanied by their wives, are visiting the southern stakes of Utah, and desire to attend the conferences of Beaver, Iron and Washington counties, and there was a conflict in the dates for the St. (Jeorge and Parowan Stake conferences. The conference will be held in the new tabernacle at Parowan, although that edifice is not yet quite completed and will not be dedicated at this time, and will open as above stated on Thursday, the 13th, which is the last day of the County Fair. This announcement is made at the request of the Stake Clerk, and as it is rare, indeed, that so large and select a party visits the outlying stakes any more, it is certain that the attendance will be a record-breaker. |
