Show MRS. PALMER WINS s mm prize Scarcity of Cash Makes Auto Campaign Drag RHther Slowly as Yet. LIKELY TO RUN TO MIDDLE OF OCTOBER Roll of Honor for the Week, and Present Pres-ent Status of the Primary Association As-sociation Car Fund. About the usual number of subscriptions sub-scriptions have been turned in this week on the automobile campaign, but not very much "pep" has been injected in-jected into the campaign as yet. This is not altogether on acocunt of a lack of interest or energy on the part of the workers. There is a very noticeable notice-able shortage of cash with the general run of the farmers, who have not yet obtained returns from their crops, and though willing and anxious to do their part in the good cause, are handier' handi-er' ed for want of the ready money. To meet this condition it will probably proba-bly be necessary to extend the date of the contest somewhat, and it is probable prob-able now that it may continue to the mi-idle of October. In the mean time, however, those who are able should contribute their mite now, and keep the campaign moving, for it is very discouraging to have a matter of this kind lag. Mary E. Palmer Gets Week End Prize The week end prize of $5.00 offered - by The Record this week to the work-Ojg work-Ojg obtaining Ihe most business, was won by Mrs. Mary M. Palmer, ' with Eliza M. Parry a close second. While the returns the past week or two have scarcely justified the giving of these special prizes, we have decided de-cided to extend our offer for another week, as there should bt a good opportunity op-portunity for successful soliciting at the County Fair, which will be held in Parowan next week. The receipts for the past week are $43.25, which nets the Primary officers offic-ers $10.81. Added to their previous credit balance of $47.00, brings the total at present up to $58.31.
