Show ENGLAND'S MILLIONAIRES. (From the Washington Herald. Although in the number of millionaires million-aires Great Britain is doubtless behind the United States, there are twenty-one twenty-one lucky individuals in Great Britain Brit-ain who manage to get along with incomes in-comes of $250,000 a year. The fiftieth report of the British inland revenue commission shows this number of millionaires mil-lionaires in England, Scotland and Ireland, Ire-land, though they have many men with comfortable fortunes, who are not able to show any incomes in the $250,0000 class. In Scotland, however, reside nine persons whose incomes range from $50,-000 $50,-000 to $200,000. while the statistics show that ten people in Ireland have incomes in-comes of from $25,000 to $50,000 a year. There were 1S7.SS7 persons, including employes, in England, who paid an income in-come tax on under $1,000 a year, as against 33,766 in Scotland and 12,723 in Ireland. |
