Show FURNISH FOR GOVERNOR. Pregon Republicans Nominate a Pendleton Banker. Portland, Ore.. April 2. W. J. Furnish, Fur-nish, a" banker of Pendleton, was nominated nomi-nated on the first ballot for governor this afternoon by the Republican state convention. Governor T. T. Geer, who has been an avowed candidate for re-nomination, re-nomination, withdrew from the contest this morning. His withdrawal was caused by the action of the Multnomah county delegation In deciding last night to cast sixty-five votes for Furnish. Republicans Win In New Mexico. Santa Fe, N. M., April 2. City elections elec-tions in New Mexico resulted in decided de-cided Republican victories in four of the largest cities of the territory. Santa Fe elected the whole Republican city ticket except two aldermen and one school director, a gain of one alderman and one school director for the Democrats. Demo-crats. Las Vegas elected a Reoublican mayor and a Democratic, city clerk and city treasurer. Mayor- George P Money, son of Senator Money of Mississippi Miss-issippi was defeated by thi,ty votes. In Raton the mayor, city clerk, three aldermen, three school directors elected are Republicans, the city treasurer, two aldermen and one school directcv Democrats. Dem-ocrats.
