Show j EUREKA. (Eureka Reporter, March 28.) I George . Vaughan, the popular bookkeeper book-keeper for the Eureka Light company, ; spent last Sunday at Provo. At Nephi last "Saturday Mrs. Mar-, Mar-, garet Shea was given letters of admin-! admin-! istration in the estate of Patrick Shea, ; deceased. The lady's bonds were fixed j at $1,250. I A surprise party was given last week in honor of Mrs. Frank McHatton. i Quite a number of the lady's acquaintances acquaint-ances were present and a pleasant time is reported.- $ Mrs. Thomas Stewartson came out from Salt Lake to attend to some business busi-ness matters. While here she was the guest of Mrs. Dennis Sullivan. Mrs. Margaret McMannis, who was called here to attend the funeral of her brother. Bat Murphy, returned to her home at Victor, Colo., Wednesday. "Jack" Beesley" of-Provo has been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Al Moore this week. Mr. Beesley was with the Utah volunteers in the Philippine service and is acquainted with a number of til A TV n rcb-i Vtsi- ! William Ryan came in the other day from Tonopah, New Mr. Ryan, who has been absent from Eureka for the past month, reports that section as being a very rich one, but says there is practically nothing doing there at the present time. Since the leasing stopped the work has been confined to the development of one or two big properties, and these are not employing very large forces. However, there is prospecting going on and .the camp will improve before next fall. Mr. Ryan saw a number of Eureka people in Tonopah. |
