The American habit of taking unlimited unlim-ited quanties of ice into , the stomach is a most pernicious one,-In the first place, so little ice is pure, much of it even holding typhoid germs. If there is any question about the purity of the water supply it should all be boiled, then bottled and chilled by placing ice next to It.
