Show TONOPAH, NEV. (Special Correspondence.) ' The Fourth was celebrated in grand style on Tonopah. The amount of fun and amusement that the citizens crowded into their two days' celebration celebra-tion is surprising. The parade started at 9:30 in the morning. The Goddess of Liberty, Miss Gilbert, who won in the voting contest over 40,000 votes, and her two maids of honor. Miss Bales and Miss McNeil, all looked beautiful in their gaily decorated decorat-ed float. The floats were all cleverly gotten up. especially some in the merchandise mer-chandise line. The drilling match and tug-of-war on the second day drew large crowds, and the brass band rendered many splendid selections. We certainly have cause to be proud of our band, as the hearty applause ap-plause during the open air concert in the evening bore witness. No firecrackers fire-crackers were allowed, but the pop guns made up in noise for the omission. omis-sion. Miss Anita Dugan has returned from Seattle, where she has been attending high school. Ray Robb has returned from California, Califor-nia, where he has been at school for the past year. Miss Helene Dugan, Miss Kelly Winn and Tom Dugan have gone to Hot Creek for an outing. Frank Pine, who has been with Ryan & Stenson since early days in Tonopah, has removed to Goldfleld to enter business bus-iness in the shoe line. He will be greatly great-ly missed by his many friends here, but all wish him success in his new venture. ven-ture. A wedding of much interest to. many in Tonopah was celebrated Wednesday mornin.?, when Miss Kate Kelly became the bride or Mr. William Sinclair.
