They - w'f" make their headquarters at the I Hayes Park hotel, the splendid hostel- I ry conducted by Miss Ellen Hayes.' Rehearsals Discontinued. Rehearsals on Saturday for the Ju-, Ju-, nior choir will be discontinued until ; September. In regard to the medals ' ; promised the faithful little finger?, all credits will be carefully recorded until the entertainment, which will be next fall. Entertainment Postponed. The annual entertainment always given by the choir children for the ben- ht of the choir to procure new music, f has been postponed until the fall. I Many reasons can be given for this de- I cision. Two are on account of tickets I beins out for the K. of C. excursion at I Lagoon and the Altar society day at I 1 Saltair. Also, the weather is very hot nnd it seems impossible to get a local theatre, so the entertainment will sure- I j ly he given in the fall. The little folks ' will probably open the elegant new 1 Auerbach theatre on State street, j . I Tickets for Altar Society Day. I The tickets for Altar society day will he piven out next Sunday. The Altar Fociety will get a commission on every ticket sold, and it seems that every member of the St. Mary's parish could sell twenty-five each, any how, with a little effort an immense commission !will be given if 5.000 are sold. This will mean that if fiftv people sold 100 tickets, the ".000 will be sold. GET BUSY! j St. Cecelia's Chorus to Rehearse. I The organist of the pro-Cathedral I tried her best last Sunday to "lose" the J ; members of the St. Cecilia chorus for J the summer rehearsals, but the sweet I "ung singers refused to be dismissed. i They assigned as their reason for re- I! fusing that "the bishop loved to hear I them ring, and they meant to sing," so ' they will sing, bless their dear young hearts and voices. Rev. Father Ryan, the spiritual director, was a visitor at the rehearsal on Sunday, and was pleased over the girls' decision and a little disappointed with the organist. |
