Show o o Woman, 83, Dies At Home Here Wednesday Thomasena Thompson Peterson Sorensen, 83, highly respected Preston woman, died at her home here Wednesday. Born May 30, 1857, in Denmark, she married Madis Christian Peterson Peter-son in that country and later came with! her husband and two children to America in 1880. For one year the family lived in Logan, Utah, but then moved to Idaho. For the past 45 years Mrs. Sorensen has resided in Preston. Mr. Peterson died in 1919 and later she married Sophis Sorensen who also preceded her in death. For many years she had been active in Reli.ef Society and civic capacities. Surviving are seven children: Mrs. Helena Dobbs and Mrs. Olga Larsen of Logan, Utah; George Peterson, Pe-terson, Mrs. Matilda Owen, Leo Peterson, Arthur Peterson, ano Mrs. Anna Carter, all of Preston; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Hansen of Logan, and a brother, Jens Thompson of Salt Lake City, Utah. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 p. m. in the Preston Second ward chapel with burial in the Glendale cemetery. Friends may call at the Greaves apartment in Preston Saturday morning. |
