Show New CCC Company Moves Into Old Cub River Camp For Winter ENROLLEES CONSIST OF MISSOURI BOYS To Remain Here Until At Least April 1 ; Lt. Devorak Commander A new CCC .camp was returned to Preston Wednesday when Company Com-pany 5742 moved into the old Cub River campsite. The company, which is made up of 175 new boys from Missouri and 20 boys who have bad experience in CCC work, arrived in Preston early Wednesday, afternoon and went immediately to their Cub river location. The camp will be stationed there throughout the winter until at least April 1, 1941, Camp Commander of the new-group new-group is Lieutenant Devorak with Lieutenant Westbrook second in command. Dr. Mansen will serve as tamp doctor. Mr. Soderblom of the Porcupine camp of the Targhee National forest will be camp superintendent. su-perintendent. The new camp will complete unfinished un-finished projects during their stay here. Some of these projects they will work' on is the cutting: of timber tim-ber for tamp ground structures, including in-cluding tables, fence posts, and telephone poles; the resoeding o the Franklin basin area; improve ment of the canyon roads, range reseeding work and the tuking of a winter deer census. The spike camp at the Freston airport, which comes from an entirely en-tirely different company with Boil (conservation as their project, will remain at its present locaton. |
