Show LEWISTON f 0 O Lewiston Caryle Roger, son of Mr. and Mrs. S. R. Rogers was the speaker at First ward Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting on Sunday. Eder Rogers has recently returned from the South Sea Islands where he spent 34 months as a missionary. Mr. and Mrs. Ross Hyer of Long Beach, Calif., are visiting with relatives in Lewiston. . Mr. and Mrs. Earl' Karren were in Logan Saturday. On Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Verne Wiser their daughter Rhea, son Claire, Mrs. Emma Telford Tel-ford and Douglas Gregory started for Colorado, going as far as Ogden Og-den Sunday, there they were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Blair. Monday morning they again started their journey. Mr. Wiser and Mr. Gregory will attend the Colorado State College and study veterinary and medicine. They expect ex-pect to be gone nine months. Miss Edith Hyer returned home from Long Beach, Calif., Friday, where she spent her vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Sultan Lewis were in Ogden Sunday and Monday, visiting with friends. t Mr. and Mrs. Clawson, Karren and two sons and Miss Maurine Karren spent Sunday and Monday Mon-day at Salt Lake City, guests of Mrs. T. S. Karren. Mr. and Mrs. David Newey of Ogden were guests of Mrs. Lizzie Layne, Sunday., Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Stokes of Burley spent last week in Lewis-ton, Lewis-ton, guests of Mrs. Stokes parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Orchard. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Knight and two small daughters of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. John Jones of Ogden were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Mose Gustaveson, Sunday. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Pitcher of Cornish. Their son, Adair K. Jones left for the Hawaiian mission the same time Veldon Pitcher of Cornish Cor-nish and Glenn Gustaveson of Lewiston went. j Mr. and Mrs. Bert - Orchard spent Sunday night at ' Ogden, guests of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Orchard came to Brigham Monday Mon-day and visited Mr. and Mrs. Aland Orchard. Mr. and Mj-s.- George Cahoon of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Waite of Smithfield were guests of Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Choat, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Rosemond Blair and daughters, Glenda and Mel-ba Mel-ba spent Friday in Logan. Miss Ora Redford of Preston was in Lewiston. Tuesday evening. even-ing. Miss Linnie Telford of Logan spent Sunday and Monday with her sister Mrs. Janie Smith. The First ward genealogical committee began their years work Monday evening and will hold their regular meeting every Monday Mon-day night. The First ward Sunday school held "Flower and Friendship" Sunday. Sun-day. Special talks on "Friendship" was given by Boyd Ririe, and a talk on "Flowers" by Helen Hyer, special vocal solo by Merl Cunningham Cun-ningham and two vocal solos by Nina Lue Smith. The house was beautifully decorated with flowers. flow-ers. Mrs. Maria Swinyard, Mrs. Vida Karren and Mrs. Lena Hendricks Hen-dricks were in charge of flowers. |
