Show Welcome To All Citizens At Utah State Fair "Ocme to the fair!" With this widely sung song hit title as its slogan by special permission per-mission of the copyright owner the 1935 Utah State Fair will open September 28 and close Oct-tober Oct-tober 5. Every advance indication is that it will be the greatest exposition ever conducted on the state-owned . fair grounds in Salt Lake City. Resuming after an intermission of two years, fair beard directors and Manager Ernest S. Homes found exhibitors from all sections especially livestock growers, agriculturists ag-riculturists and manufactures, evidencing evi-dencing an early and keen interest inter-est in the Beehive state's biggest show. Entries began coming in far ahead of expectations. Practically Practi-cally every building composing the structural ensemble has been redecorated re-decorated inside and out, while many improvements will be noticeable notice-able in interior equipment and appointments. ap-pointments. The United States government has expended more than $100,000 through FERA and PWA improvement projects. Included in the outstanding improvements im-provements are two livestock barns erected at a cost of $80,000. They represent the most advanced ideas in animal housing and exhibition facilities. New landscaping work will aid in beautifying the grounds and providing exceptional opportunities oppor-tunities for entertainment features fea-tures of which there are to be many new and. attractive ones this year. Utah manufactures promise the most interesting exhibits ever offered of-fered at a state fair. Action exhibits ex-hibits whirring machines, live modes and motion pictures will add materially to the attention- j attracting and educatonal values. Utah products will be shown in the making. The horse and dog shows will be bigger and better than ever. In brief, after a two years' recess, the Utah State Fair is coming back in form and fashion that will make it the outstanding out-standing exposition and amusement amuse-ment event cf the year. |
