The remainder of the time was under the direction of Mrs. Mel-inda Mel-inda Liljenquist and Mrs. Esther Gunderson and consisted of ' sociability soc-iability songs, toasts, progressive steries and jokes. Light refreshments were served. Sister Lee and Sister Wright presided pre-sided at the table which was centered cen-tered with a beautiful bowl of yellow and blue flowers and blue and yellow tapers. Those serving were Mesdames, Rena B. Irishman, Irish-man, LaVerne Maughan, Edna Bas-sett, Bas-sett, Thelma Leatham, Alta C. Brenchley, MUlicent Maughan, Martha Barnes Fern Murray and Marjorie Leishman. Some two hundred and seventy five ward workers of the stake and Bro. jGhn A. Israelson and John C. The closing number was "Rest, Rest for the Weary Soul" by the chcir. The stake presidency and stake high councilmen of the stake were present in a body on the stand. A large cortege of automobiles auto-mobiles followed to the cemetery where the grave was dedicated by Joseph B. Gunnell. The tabernacle was filled to overflowing by sympathizing relatives re-latives and friends from far and near. Out of the county relatives who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Hugh W. Colton and family of Vernal, Utah, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. B. Maughan and family, fam-ily, Mrs. Mary Howell, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Cannon, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Gunnell of Howell, Utah. f WELLSVILLE 0 ' IMPRESSIVE SERVICES FOR CHURCH WORKER Impressive funeral services for Patriarch Wm. H. Maughan, 75, who passed away at his home I Thursday evening at 12 o'clock were held Sunday in the Wells-1 ville tabernacle with Bishop Evan H. Bankhead of the Wellsville Second ward in charge. The many beautiful flowers bespoke be-spoke the esteem in which the family were held and were carried car-ried by thirty neices under the direction di-rection of Mesdames Millie Baxter, Bax-ter, Eva Ames and Jessie H. Maughan. The music was by the two ward choirs under the direction direc-tion of Gladys Hill assisted by Roy Dahle at the organ. The pall bearers were brothers of the deceased, de-ceased, Heber L., Brigham, Guy H., David L., Henry W., and Elmer El-mer N. Maughan. The services began by the choir singing, "One Sweetly Solemn Thought"; prayers were by W. J. Williams and Thomas T. Darley. Those who lauded the wonderful wonder-ful characteristcs and works of Brother Maughan and paid high tribute to the family were, Elder Richard R. Lyman of the Council of Twelve, P. M. Maughan, Dr. W. O. Christensen, Andrew M. Israelson Is-raelson who labored sixteen years along with Bro. Maughan in the presidency of the Hyrum Stake. Bishop C. N. Maughan, President D. M. Bickmore and Bishop Bank-head. Bank-head. Special musical numbers were solo and chorus, "W.hat Voice Salutes the Startled Ear" by Evan O. Darley, assisted by the choir; duet-. OFFICERS ENTERTAIN Wellsville On Friday a very successful Stake Relief Society party was held here at the tabernacle taber-nacle honoring all ward and stake workers. President Laura L. Christensen Chris-tensen was in charge of the following fol-lowing program: Prelude. "We Love our Work", Mrs. Vinna Clawson, stake organist; organ-ist; singing, "Land of the Free" by the1 stake singing mothers, led by Mrs. Clawson assisted by Mrs. Ethel Jones at the organ; prayer, Pres.
