Show FREE SCHOOL LAW. Each Parent or tlnardian iflnst Send Children to Srhuol Tor Sixteen Weeks Earh Year. The following is a brief extract from the school law of 1890: Sec. 130. Every parent, guardian or other person having control of any child between ten and fourteen years of age, shall be required to send such child to a public, district or private school in the district, in which he resides, at least sixteen weeks in each school year, ten weeks of which shall be consecutive; consec-utive; provided, that such parent, guardian or other person having control of any child shall be excused ex-cused from such duty by the school board of the district or the board of education of the city. Any one who wilfully fails to comply com-ply with the foregoing, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, be fined. |
