OCR Text	Show THE ALTON MINE. The Owners Expect to Mako aShlpment Shortly. Messrs. Maxfield and Williams were down from the Alton mine, north of Brigham, this week. They have a lot of fine galena and silver ore on the dump. They expect ex-pect to make a shipment as soon as sacks arrive. A new tunnel is now being run to strike the body of ore lower down. This contact will be made in a few days, when they have good reasons for expecting to strike a vast body of rich ore. Seldom a week passes but that some old miners visit the Alton and they pronounce it one of the most promising mines in this part of the country. Every one will hail with delight the first shipment of ore out of this section.
