The good people of Three Mile Creek ward expect to begin work on their commodious brick meeting house in a few days. The building is needed and will be greatly appreciated ap-preciated when ready for occupancy. occu-pancy. L. II. Hansen's adobe residence I in the Fourth ward still stands unfinished. It is understood that work will be re-commenced before be-fore next winter's winds begin to chase the fallen leaves about the streets. Work on the neat frame cottage of C. M. Squires, Contractor and Builder, on Forest street in the Second ward, is going on nicely. The exterior is nearly finished and -the tainting almost done. . The pretty structure is a credit to Mr. Squires, who is both designer and builder. Banker Snow's handsome brick residence on Main street is beginning begin-ning to loom up, now that the tuck pointing and painting are nearing completion. When the scaffolding and debris are cleaned away, that imposing structure and the well-planned lawn will go to make up one of the interesting attractions at-tractions of that part of town. F. W. Fishburnis having material mater-ial hauled to his place in the Second ward, where he proposes to erect a cozy brick home. Work on it will be commenced shortly. The unfavorable weather has delayed the beginning of work on j the Lake Side meeting house north ! of town. This edifice will he 1 oOxoO; quite a roomy hall. The intentions arc to begin work soon, that the building may be closed in and probably completed before winter. Five mechanics began work on the Box Elder Pioneer Creamery Cream-ery building Thursday morning. This structure will be erected with all possible dispatch, that the establishment es-tablishment may be formally opened open-ed as soon as practicable. Yesterday the force of carpenters was increased increas-ed to fifteen or twenty. The foundation of the Poor Farm building may lie laid this fall. This matter has not yet been fully decided. The exact location for the canning can-ning factory building has not yet been definitely settled upon. August Valentino expects to be able to complete his tasty Second ward residence this year. Numerous small buildings are being erected and other places are being improved and enlarged, besides be-sides those mentioned here. |
