NATURAL CAS. The Salt Lake Company Will Soon Begin Developments. Alex. Tope-rice, agent of the Salt Lake Improvement and Natural Gas Co., was interviewed by a Bl'Gl.Kit reporter re-porter a lew days ago. He assured us that the gas company is making preparations to soon start work here in earnest. They have leased some valuable natural gas land west of Brigham City and mean to make the best of it. We have some of the finest prospects in this line in the Territory and proper development will likely make surprising sur-prising disclosures. The bowels of the earth here seem almost bursting with the gas, impatient to find an egress. The lirst practical uses of natural gas in Utah were made at Brigham City in the way of burning brick, lime and for house purposes.
