The Bert Leaches went south for the winter. Dick and Jan Excell are getting ready to go to their home in Mexico for a few months. Alta Orton got word of the death of an old friends, former resident Mary Stacy, who died Dec. 15. She lived here for a number of years and dies in Apache Junction, Ariz. She was a sister of Susan Sawyer's mother. moth-er. The news came from Mary's daughter. The funeral was in Arizona. Jean Orton had surgery in St. George. She is home now and doing well. Aimee Orton of Provo visited her folks, Denny and Jean Orton, over the weekend week-end and Judy Orton Mann of St. George spent a few days with her family members here. The former Mary Ann Sandin, Rosemary Reid, and Metta Jane Wilcock were here visiting relatives and friends. Metta Jane's mother, Vera Wilcock', is quite sick in the Care Center. Beverly Crosby and Winona Sevy went north with their sis ter, Ardith Davis, for Winona's medical appointment. Art Crosby went to Mesquite, Nev. with some friends to the horse races. Ken Miller was the speaker in LDS Sacrament meeting in the Garfield Memorial Hospital Care Center Branch.. Kali Moore sang a beautiful song. The Relief Society program last week was an all musical one by Cindy Williams and her three daughters. Lyle and Kathy Talbot of Sandy spent a weekend here to see mom, Mamie Talbot. The new Relief Society Presidency in the Panguitch LDS Second Ward consists of President Darlene Evans, Counselors Rhea Deardon and Andrea Gujllette and Secretary Marianne Orton. The outgoing officers spoke in Sacrament meeting. They were Karran Harris, Marianne Orton, Andrea Guillette and Anne Anderson. ' Cindy Josie went to Provo last week to tell her parents, Bennett and Alfhild Josie, goodbye. good-bye. The Josies left for their LDS mission in Russia. They send their love to everyone here. |
