Show Hatch New By Mayall Sawyer 735-4391 Myrtle Robertson of Cedar City, LaRue Holt and Omega Campbell of St. George visited Trudy Fagg. May Sawyer, Valeene Roberts, Amberly, Kena and Gannon Roberts, all of Antimony; Stephanie, Colten and Hayden Roberts, of Henrieville, all went to Mesquite, Nev. to visit the Kurt Sawyer family and attend the Miss Mesquite Pageant, where Aimee Sawyer,, daughter of Kurt and Phyllis Sawyer, took Miss Congeniality and 4th runner up. Van and Betty Wiley traveled to Murray on Tuesday for an eye appointment for Van. Bill and Jane Wiley and family will be going to Price on Sunday for the reception to be held at the Elk Lodge for Neal Warner and his new bride. Sally and Tom East will join them and Marcia and Toby Tobiason will stop on their way home from Nebraska. Dianne and Francis Porter went to Orem to visit the Ramon Porters. Dianne came back sporting a new car. Idonna Deuel had sons LaVor and Brenda Deuel of California and Valeen and Sherri Deuel of Cedar City visiting last week. Idonna Deuel is now visiting her sister, Dorothy Imlay, of Grantsville. Congratulations to Bonnie Nelson on her being chosen 2nd attendant to Miss Garfield County: On Aug. 2, a reuniion was held for the family of Samuel J. and Laura Ann Hatch Barnhurst. Also the event honored their only living child, Laura Pendleton, 92 years young. She was awarded a special plaque by the Joseph H Barnhurst family for being the number one aunt. Other children present were the M.H. Barnhurst families represented by Garth Heap, Ruth and Calvin Wilson, Merle and LeGrand Wood, Beth Weideman, and Cliff and Anne Rives and families; the Joseph H. Jay and Madge Barnhurst, Yvonne and Bob Fuelling, Joseph Barnhurst, Bob and Louise Eddie and families; the O.H. Barnhurst families represented by Merlin Lee and Jean Barnhurst, Austin and Marie Barnhurst, and Shirley Wilhelm and families; and Laura Pendleton represented by Don and Ora Mae Pendleton, and Ada Ann Pratt and families. The reunion was held in Hatch at the residence of Cliff and Anne Rives. Approximately 250 people were in attendance. It had been 17 years since the last family gathering of this kind. There were genealogy work shops, a country store, games of all kinds and lots of visiting and getting to meet new cousins. A lot of picture taking done and tons of food eaten. |
