Show Escalante News The county road crew is hauling gravel and building crossing over the Escalante River. The old post office building in the center of town has lost all of its furnishings in preparation for a new business. Lewis Griffin is cleaning, plowing at his dad's place. A new permanent-type trailer has been set up at the end of Proctor Lane. The Frank Pike family has moved here from Boulder. He is the high school ag teacher. The irrigation board has rented, for their officer, the old high school home ec room. (Irrigation turns are starting this week with McKay Bailey as water boss.) Ross Woolsey is spending some serious time with Karen Schow. Sonnette Cottam took her daughter Natalie Cottam to an ear specialist in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Shakespear had sons Devin and Derrick in the hospital hos-pital for tests. Pratt Gates came for more horses to use in Zion National Park trail rides Claron Barney is home from the hospital looking pretty good. Walt Lerbenguth is dependent almost entirely en-tirely on bottled oxygen. |
