Show Garfield Pioneers History Told In New Publication Patrons of the Panguitch LDS Stake Family History Library, located lo-cated in the LDS Seminary building build-ing will benefit from the new library's li-brary's latest addition, a book donated do-nated by the family of Peter and Jean LeFevre, "The Ancestry and Descendants of a Mormon Pioneer Pio-neer William LeFevre of Utah." Published by the William LeFevre Family Organization, the 518-page document touches many families in the area. Grace LeFevre Sandberg of Tropic who presented the book to Annette Heywood, librarian li-brarian at the Panguitch facility, stated, "The family thought the book will do the most good in Panguitch's new library where more people can enjoy it." The recently opened library represents rep-resents some dedicated effort by several who saw the need and worked toward establishing the library li-brary for genealogical research. The library features four microfilm micro-film readers and two microfiche readers and makes available a family fam-ily ancestor file which connects people who are researching the same names. Also available is a file with over 8,000 names, and IGI file that provides names of people whose temple work has been completed. com-pleted. Other files made available are a geographical file covering the U.S. and other countries, broken down' into county units or their equivalents equiva-lents and the records existing in those units. The Panguitch Family History Library also has a local Daughter of Utah Pioneers file and has ordered similar files from all southern Utah counties. Familiar to genealogists, the library li-brary also makes accessible Ever-ton's Ever-ton's popular "Root Cellar" collection collec-tion on microfiche, as well as all materials from the Salt Lake City Family History Library currently provided on microfilm or microfiche. mi-crofiche. The Panguitch Family History Library is open Monday, Wednesday Wednes-day and Friday from 9 a.m. until noon, Thursday and Friday from 6 until 9 p.m., and Saturdays from 1 until 5 p.m. |
