Show Hospital Foundation Notes More Donations A significant increase in the amount of funds donated as memorial gifts has been donated within the past three months stated Bob Benfield who serves on the Garfield Memorial Health Care Foundation executive committee which met Tuesday at the hospital. Donations made in lieu of flowers at the death recently of three prominent and well-loved Panguitch residents, Mary Lee, Alta Yardley and Alice Ipson, has resulted in several hundred dollars accruing to the foundation's funds. When such donations are made, Benfield said, acknowledgement cards are sent to the tamiiy ot me deceased noting the gift made to the foundation. Such a donation allows for an alternate memorial to the loved one other than the customary flowers which soon fade and die, he said. Members of the executive committee, com-mittee, who regularly meet in alternate months, will meet again in July to consider spending some of the funds the foundation has been collecting over the past several years. . Wayne Ross, hospital administrator, ad-ministrator, will submit a list of needed items for the hospital for the group to consider purchasing. Serving as members of the executive committee are Bruce Howard, who also serves as president of the Garfield Memorial Hospital Health Care foundation, Wallace Lee, Clem Church, Bob Benfield, Wayne Ross, Ingra Richards, and Paul Arnstein. |
