Show Bids Called To Provide Mail Service HATCH With the temporary service to the Duck Creek post off ice proving satisfactory, postal officials are now seeking bids to suppjy transportation for the maU between Duck Creek and Hatch on a permanent per-manent basis according to Hatch postmaster Ivadell Yardley Bids will be accepted through June 20, she said. The mail leaves Hatch at 10 a.m. for Duck Creek, with the Duck Creek mail returning to Hatch at noon each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Postmaster Post-master at Duck Creek is Jean Campuzano. The Duck Creek post office is located 24 miles from Hatch on Utah Highway 14 and serves residents at Duck Creek, Swains Creek, Strawberry Creek, and a few at Mammoth Creek. There are approximately ap-proximately 30 year round residents served by the Duck Creek post of-ce. of-ce. Currently 140 boxes are rented out, with the total expected to reach 200 soon, Mrs. Yardley said. |
