Show Truck Driver Finds It's A Lot OfBulV "He said he remembers hitting something, a lot of bouncing and then being stopped," said Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Otho Bulkley of Ronald R. Johnson of Salt Lake City, whose 18-wheeler, traveling south on Highway 89, hit a bull belonging to Paul Partridge in front of the State West campground Friday, June 6 at 10:15 p.m. After striking the bull, the truck owned by Larry Munger Enterprises, En-terprises, Salt Lake City, traveled more than 800 feet, going down over an embankment, tearing out two fences and coming to rest approximately, ap-proximately, 300 feet west of the highway. Bulkley said that Johnson apparently ap-parently lost consciousness when the truck went over the bank and revived only as the truck came to rest "He stepped out of the truck," said Bulkley, "and fell down, he stood up and fell down again." He was taken by ambulance to Garfield Memorial Hospital, kept overnight for observation and released the following morning. The truck carrying a load of brick was extensively damaged in the area of the right front wheel the wheel was broken and bent in such a way that it dragged the huge truck in a big circle as it slowed down. Bulkley said no citation was issued. |
