During the course of her last school year she triple won at state and now in the Utah Summer Games she tied her mark. U ' f , j - r-A Met ?Lr 1 " e4 S) c n v q it , J j The Panguitch portion of the winning Southeast slow pitch team at the Utah Summer Games consist of back row Tod Trout, Arlin Sawyer, front, Nathan Six local men were part of a slow-pitch slow-pitch baseball team capturing silver medals at the first annual Summer Games held July 2-5 in Cedar City. The Utah Summer Games held at Southern Utah State College provided a great variety of sporting events in several days of competition com-petition among the best that Utah had to offer. Made up of players from Panguitch, Aurora and Salina the team represnted the Southeast Region of Utah, with each team representing a geographical area. i Brinkerhoff, Bruce Dalton, and Bart Reynolds tt Dal ton said, "If the biggies come in next year have to work harder." Local Men Participate In Softball Program After two days of competition, the Southeast team advanced to the championship game against the Southern Region team. The game was tied after seven innings with the team from the South going on to win the title 12-9. The three top teams which won medals have an automatic invitation to next year's Summer Games. The Southeast team coached by Bart Reynolds included Arlin Sawyer, Bruce Dalton, Jeff Owens, Tod Trout, Nathan Brinkerhoff and Reynolds. It was sponsored by Gale and Larry Cosby of Aurora. |
