Show DUP Names Officers For New Campi TROPIC Officers were elected at an organizational meeting, Oct. 24 to establish an official camp for the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers in Tropic. The camp, for which a name is yet to be selected, will serve the Bryce Valley-Bryce area. New officers installed were Grace Sandberg, captain; Violet Lit-tlefield, first vice captain; Mae Chynoweth, second vice captian; Erma Clarke, secretary treasurer; Margaret Mecham, historian; Nell Wilson, registrar and Dixie Shakespear, chaplain. Attending the meeting as Garfield County officers of the DUP to help organize the new group were Opal Miller, Verda Oldham, Mamie Talbot and Ruby Meyers. Others present as new members were Ethel LeFevre, Kathleen Pollock, ZoraBell Pollock, Ella Adair and Mandy Fletcher, All members present became charter members of the camp. |
