Show Hill Worlltcn William "Bill" Herbert Worthen, 64, Panguitch, died Feb. 25, 1982, in a Panguitch hospital. He was born March 2, 1917, Panguitch, to Herbert and Alice Prince Worthen. He married Ilae Marshall, Nov. 7, 1938, Panguitch; later divorced. He married Sara Cox Hepworth, Sept. 1, 1967, Panguitch Lake. He was retired from the Utah Department of Transportation. He had worked as an employee of the Salt Ornamental Iron Company and operator of a service station. He was a high priest in the LDS Church. He served as president of the Fraternal Order of Elks Aere 67 while in Salt Lake City and as president of the Utah State Grande Aere. Survivors: wife, son, James Paul, Salt Lake City; daughters, Mrs. Kathleen Littlefield Irvine, Calif.; Mrs. Layne (Barbara) Johnson, Salt Kill Worthen Lake City; seven grandchildren; three stepchildren, Charles A. and Itomell Hepworth, Mrs. Grant (Avondell) Tebbs, all Panguitch; 11 step grandchidltren; two step-great grandchildren; brothers, sisters, Robert D. Kearns; Parley Rey, San Leandro, Calif.; S. Dick Orem; Joseph Alan, Payson, Mrs. Ronald (Pearl) Rowley, Mrs. George (Dorothy) Rowley, both Parowan, Mrs. W. Mat (Hazel) Houston, Panguitch; Mrs. Floyd (Patricia) Fox, Arvada, Calif.; Mrs. Stephen (Alice Jean) Dickson, Morgan. Funeral services were Saturday in the Panguitch First Ward chapel with Bishop John W. Yardley, officiating. James Paul Worthen offered the family prayer and Pam Yardley and Sandra Holman played prelude and postlude music. Robert Worthen offered the invocation. Speakers were Pearl Rowley, J. Frank Worthen, Doyle Christensen. Music included selection by the Tri Ward Choir; selection by Betty Jo's family; solo by Brent Hepworth; duct by Dick and Joan Worthen; solo by Brent Leach; quartet by Rodney Parry, Bob Benfield, Barry Erickson, Kendall Brinkerhoff. Joseph Alan Worthen offered the benediction Burial was in the Panguitch Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Allen Cox offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Parley Rey Worthen, Charles Hepworth, Romell Hepworth, Grant M. Tebbs, Layne Johnson, Kenneth Hepworth. Honorary pallbearers were Ronald Rowley George Rowley, Mat Houston, Kevin Hepworth, Shane Worthen, Floyd Fox, Stephen Dickson, James Afton Tebbs, Jeremy Rogers Travis Worthen. |
