Show Henrieville Ellis and Arvella Johnson went north for some material for their home and visited family members. Daughter, Norma is getting around the home after having surgery on both feet. Mary Lou Nielson has been in the hospital for treatment and Darreld brought her home. She will have to remain in bed until her back heals more. Friends whould like to know about Hazel Pollock. She has cancer and has to return to the LDS Hospital for treatment. Melvin Quilter of Bountiful let family members know that his home had been broken into and everything gone through, all of their guns and silver coins were stolen and maybe more. Quite a few friends attended funeral services for Melba Smith.'s mother, Mildred Duel. Melba and Layton had daughter Christine and daughter from Cedar City. Her brother Earl Duel of Dallas, Texas. Juanita Duel of Kearns, Larry and Susan Black of Ben-nion, Skip and Kathy Hagan of West Salt Lake, Val and Sarysta Jennings and Floyd Jennings of Price were all here at tho Smiths and some of the relatives went to Escalante and stayed with another sister Florence Alvey. Kathy Goulding took daughter, Sheila to Salt Lake City for removal of her leg cast. She will be on crutches for awhile learning to use her leg. Ken Goulding accompanied them. Rae Smith spent several days in Phoenix, with daughter Dorothy and Don Burkhardt. Jim, Barbara and Wayne went to Flagstaff and met them and brought Rae home. They visited in Kanab with Monte Willis who runs a service station and leather shop. Mrs. Weeks went to Salt Lake City and brought her husband home who has been recovering from bone transplants. Janet LeFevre and her mother Virginia Smith went to West Jordan and Kearns to visit with family members. Jeff and Kim Johnson went north to visit with Jeff's mother and his grandparents the Clem Johnsons. Clem and Clara Johnson entered the mission home on Wednesday and will go to Dallas, Texas mission for a year. The Bryan Johnsons of Washington visited here. Mark is going to Dixie College again this year. |
