Show J Athletes Named to All-Star Cage Game EPHRAIM - The players who will participate in Saturday's Utah Coaches Association All-Star Basketball Game at Snow College for Class 1-A and 2-A players were announced Sunday by game director Wilbur Braithwite. The second annual game is scheduled to be held at 8 p.m. in the Snow College Activities Center and will feature many of the senior stars who participated in the state tournaments the last two weeks. While Mark Tuckett of Class 2-A champion Lehi will lead the 2-A squad, not one member of the junior-laden Valley club that won the 1-A title Saturday was selected. Only seniors are allowed to participate in the post-season battles. Besides Tuckett, Millard's Bryce Monsen, Manti's Mike Jorgensen and Kent Abegglen, Wasatch's Paul Cook, North Sanpete's Bruce Bailey and Todd Jorgensen, Grantsville's Greg Broan and Phil Didericksen and Rich-field's Tom Brown were named to play on the 2-A squad. Gary Glover of Kanab leads the 1-A squad. Other members of that team, which also doesn't have a plajer of secOnd-place Gun.iison on it. include Piute's Shane Millett, Monticello's Mark Jensen and Reed Freestone, Beaver's Jess Cox and Burt Myers, Parowan's Mike Jones, Duchesne's Tal Fabrizio, Panguitch's David Henrie and Escalante's Alan Bailey. |
