Show 'Easy' Activities Outlined in Book Suck in your stomach muscles to the count of five. Relax. Pull those muscles in for another five seconds. Relax and take a deep breath. Not very difficult, was it? This is one of the "easy" physical ac tivitics designed to help you look and feel better described in a new Blue Cross and Blue Shield Associations health booklet called "Feel Better." Improved fitness can be realized in minutes a day, stresses the 32-page publication. "You don't have to go 'all out' with a program of running or jogging or working with weights to help yourself physically and achieve the better mental attitude that goes with it." Written with the help of six experts in medicine, health and phsyical fitness, the booklet emphasizes the importance of a consistent routine of activities, done at the same time every day, whether all at once or divided into several short periods. It describes a program that won't disrupt your normal schedule, which can be done "when first getting up; while going to the office or plant; during morning coffee breaks; as part of the lunch hour; at the afternoon break; on the way home; or in the evening." The booklet shows how to motivate yourself to do something Just a little to maintain your health and tells how and when to schedule 15 minutes a day of activity. It also lists some of the activics, with emphasis on walking, that you can work into your physical fitness effort. "Feel Better" is free for single copies. Additional copies cost only 25c each.
