Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair Mr. and Mrs. Adrian Pollock received word of the birth of a new grandson born to their son Royce Pollock and wife in Panguitch. Am-plus LeFevre is the new great grandmother. Louise Shakespear spent a few days with her mother, Ora Brinkerhoff during the week. Thelma Bybee enjoyed a visit from brother Melvin Quilter and wife. Ella Bybee fell and broke her hip. She is a patient in the Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Roy McCluskey have a new baby daughter born in Provo. The little girl has four brothers waiting to welcome her to their home in Bryce Canyon. Douglas Syrett and Vernal Shakespear are patients in the hospital in Panguitch. The Norman Lit-tlefields are enjoying a visit from daughter Judean and family this week. Nell Wilson accompanied her sister to Palaca, Arizona for a few days. Crissy Chynoweth fell while roller skating and received another broken arm. It seems that arm just enjoys having a cast on it. Nelda Shakespear is spending a few days with her parents the Obie Shakespears. Kim Ott, Colleen Pollock, Martin and Carta Ramsay, LaRue Mecham, Cristy Shakespear, Marian Pollock were home for the quarter break from college. Brant and Shanna Barton and small daughter were weekend visitors at the Berdell Barton home. Karen Willis and children spent the weekend with the Lester Clarkes. Kim Ott spent the weekend with his parents. Tod Feltner received a serious eye injury when he was hit with a rock. He win remain in me hospital for the rest of the week, hoping all will be well. A special priesthood session in the St. George temple will be held Saturday, ride will be furnished; those desiring rides are to contact any of the quorum presidency. We are happy to have Verdella Nielsen home after her stay in the hospital. Her sister Ellen returned to her home in Ogden Wednesday, after spending three weeks with the Nielsen sisters. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ramsay have a new trailer home, up on the Baugh lot. Martin will be doing his student teaching in Panguitch this spring quarter. Nyle Richards is in Tropic for a visit. The Tropic Cub Scouts participated in a stake Pinewood Derby in Escalante. The annual Sophomore Skid was held Saturday night. The Leland Pollocks had all of their daughters home during the week . . . LaPreal from St. George, Lydia from Kanab, Lela Rae from Richfield, Colleen from Cedar City and Rhonda. The girls brought their children to help keep the grandparents busy. Tim Feltner was ordained a teacher Sunday. The membership of Roland Bee was read in sacrament meeting. We are happy to welcome Roland back as a member of our ward and community. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Barton, Beatrice and Cliff Barton and son were in Tropic for a short visit. Mark Munson is home for a visit with his mother. Alton and Louie Shakespear spent the weekend home. The Floyd Richa?ds enjoyed a visit from daughter Nakole Saturday. Elisc Ott had her grandchidlren for a few days while their mother Kathy Goulding was in the hospital. LaMar and Ethel LeFevre were at the Flora LeFevre home. Randy Kay and Bob Jo Ott and children visited the Jack Chynoweth and. Robert Otts during the week. We finally received our long awaited snow storm, it was beautiful to see the glistening white cover on our lawns and streets. Mr. and Mrs. Vernal Shakespear have a new grandson born to Palma and Roland Miles in Cedar City. |
