Show Pair Pleads Guilty to Tree Cutting Two Panguitch residents appeared before U.S. Magistrate Patrick Fenton in Cedar City where they pleaded guilty to a charge of unauthorized tree cutting. Johnny Talbot and Danny Perkins were each fined $100 and given 30 days in which to pay their fines. They were found in violation of the Code of Federal Regulation section 36 CFR 261-6a in that they did ". . . cut any tree, or other forest product except as authorized by permit, timber sale, contract federal law or regulation." The charge related back to an incident on January 23 in which both were cited for cutting for personal use three ornamental Red Cedar trees in the Three Mile Creek-Big Sandy Creek area. |
