Show Hatch Happenings Iteva Lowde r Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Nile Sawyer were Debbie and Vicky Sawyer, Fresno, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap and Mel Barnhurst visited in Cedar City with relatives during the week, Visiting the Sam Evans family were Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Gifford, LaVerkin. Sam went to Logandale, Nev. to take a horse and to visit with his sons and their families overnight. Visiting the Karl Lowders and the Arnold Sawyers were Vaelyn and Jason Howland, Santa Clara, the Kent Andersons, St. George. Velta and Pete Sawyer took Vaelyn and Jason to Santa Clara to get some of her furniture. The Arnold Sawyers, Vaelyn and Jason went to Santa Clara for more furniture. Vaelyn will stay with Velta Sawyer and girls. They are renting the home of Arlene Haney. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder visited in Minersville with the Larry Baileys. Some of our Relief Society ladies attended the special program "Nauvoo Monument Contemplations" at the Panguitch Stake Center Friday. Velma Huntington stayed overnight with Mr. and Mrs. Pat Dix and two granddaughters April and Kristy Barabas. They all went to St. George for the weekend all but April, she came home with relatives. The Dix' stayed with the Richard and the Patrick Dix families. Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Turek went to Cedar City for an appointment with his doctor. They stayed overnieht with Kathv and Kristen Winn. Saturday they went to Washington to attend baptismal services for granddaughter Cheri Turek. They visited Ada Nordell and the Wynn Tureks. They accompanied them to church where Cheri was confirmed a member of the LDS Church. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wilson went to Tuba City, Ariz, over the weekend where their grandson Christopher Lane was baptized and confirmed a member of the LDS Church. The Wilsons stayed over the weekend with the Wilford and Lane family. Mr. and Mrs Merlin Barnhurst, Salt Lake City were enjoying peace and quiet at their home here last week. Tdonna and Rose Elaine Deuel went to Mt. Pleasant to attend a special dinner in honor of Hulda Spencer's 82nd birthday. She lived most of her life in Escalante and raised her family there. The Deuels were happy while they were there that Hulda received word her son Ervil and wife Sherri Deuel were teaching the Indian people on their mission in St. Carolina and her son and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Verge Deuel won a trip to the Bahama Islands. Effel' Riggs has been touring for a few weeks first with her four daughters and stayed awhile in Nephi with her daughter Thalia Mickelsen and accompanied her and family to the Salt Lake Airport when Jens Mickelson left for his LDS mission. Effel went to No. Ogden over the past weekend to visit the Ray Burrows family and attend a testimonial there for grandson Brett Burrows as he leaves soon for an LDS mission. Mr. and Mr. Leland Riggs and Allen went to attend Brett's testimonial Effel returned home with them Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Evans left to visit the Ray Burrows family and attend their grandson Brett's testimonial in No. Ogden. The Evans' also visited in Spanish Fork with her 90 year old mother Sessie Clark and the Merrill Clarks. They also attended the testimonial. Jeffrey and Eric Sawyer, Cedar City visited over the weekend with grandparents the David Sawyers and Kerry Sawyer. Eric stayed to visit a while longer. Grant Dalton and Jim Hackbarth went to Las Vegas the first part of the week for a load of carpet. Grant and Hope Dalton went back to Las Vegas for carpet and to visit the Dennis Daltons over the wekeend. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Huntington visited in Granger with the Ben Neilsens. Visiting with Orlas and Estella Riggs were Edith and Ray Hoffman, Draper. Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Frehner visited during the week in Mesquite, Nev. with relatives. Visiting during the weekend at the Eric Barnhursts were Mr. and Mrs. Usher Wilcock, Milford; Mr. and Mrs. Garcld Wilcock, Payson. Gary Fagg took Willie Riggs, Duane, Steven and Ronald Hancock, Travis Fagg, Alan Sawyer and Cory Evans to Kodachrome Park and they joined with the Panguitch Stake Scouts for a campout |
