Show Escalante Chit Chat FayAlvey 826-2431 Spring arrived rather decently until the wind started. There are colds, croup and flu. Andrew Spencer has a new lease on life, he went to Cedar City for a checkup and the doctor told him he was in better shape than he had been for a long time. He don't want Isabell to know as she would expect him to do a lot more. Reed Wooley is having good days and some not quite so good. They had a visit from granddaughter, Julie here for a visit. Nellie Bailey had a persistant cough so relatives took her North to stay with Martha Rae and Calvin Schow for some tender loving care. Sorry about having Orilla Cowles a week ahead of schedule, Sheri did not take her back, she left a Sunday later and took herself as far as Richfield then son Newell took her on up. Millie Mclnelly came home with a new cast on her leg and instructions to walk only on crutches for six weeks. Joy Griffin wrenched her ankle on the off side so does not know which foot to limp on and that can be frustrating. Earl and Nethella Wcolsey had a two day visit from her relatives, Clint and Ruth Mortensen from Alaska. Marlene Haws went to Cedar City to the Doctor and brought daughter, Patrice home. All the college kids are home between quarters. Art and Carol Joy Cooper and five kids of Denton, Texas spent a week in Utah dividing their time between here and Panguitch. Carol Joy visited the local high school and talked with Principal Risher and found he had lived in Texas and still had relatives there living close to the Coopers. Naomi Bolton spent some time in Denver with her sister who is ailing. Geraldine Liston, son Gary and daughter Sheri and Danny Meisenbaugh made a trip to Provo. Claron and Ruby Griffin were in Salt Lake City and Orem. Their daughter, Janet Spencer had been to Texas on a workshop. Ben and Renee Porter of Provo visited at the Blake Robinson home. They brought Mary Porter to visit the Delane Griffins. Lorell and Nancy Baker of Richfield visited here at the Wayne Buttons. The Melvin Alveys had Rick ' and Helen Pruitt and tiny son home for the weekend. The Verge Spencers had Marion and Peggy and family here from Rock Springs, Wyo. Warren and Kathleen Woolsey and boys of Cedar City were visitors at the Dale Marsh home. Mary Ellen Coleman had Alfred and Ada Heaps here, they also visited Rex and Eva Allen. LaRue Spencer went to Mesquite, Nev. to await the uncertain arrival of a grandchild. Hal and Geneal Shurtz had Kim and Vicki Nelson and family here from Washington. Jmi Liston had daughter Bun Young home again. Gwen and Handle Lyman had business in Panguitch, so did Mr. and Mrs. Bill Coons. Bonnie Smith accompanied me to Panguitch and Cedar City, enroute going and coming we aggravated the Al Fosters. Dave and Holly Adams had a baby girl who had some problems so had to stay several extra days in the hospital. They have her home now and Hollys mother, Kerol Neville of Kanab came to make sure the little one got a proper start. The Primary put on the program in meeting under the direction of Thais Griffin. He built a stately mansion, the ambition of his life, it was indeed his dream house but a nightmare to his wife. |
