Show Photographer Named To Chamber Position A local professional photographer, William Nleble has accepted the position of Panguitch Chamber of Commerce photographer at the last Panguitch-Hatch Chamber of Commerce meeting. Rick Swanger was named chairman of the community entertainment committee. Rick Burningham, president, encouraged each member to be an active member of one of the five committees formed: advertising-promotion, headed by Jim Blake; finance, headed by Bob Benfield; welcoming headed by Mrs. Lola B. Henrie; community entertainment, headed, by Rick Swanger. and the town bcautificatlon committee with no chairman yet. The main concern of the members is to advertise on the radio stations, encouraging people to come to Panguitch area. They discussed inviting the Richfield and Cedar City radio stations advertising men to one of the next meetings to find out what they can do for the chamber. Sheriff Keith Fackrell offered to present a program on shoplifting, how to control it. He emphasized the business people should encourage their employees to attend the night of the presentation. Vee Henrie, member of the Race Track committee mentioned the $6,000 the Panguitch City has received to be used In fixing up the race track area and mentioned that help was needed with this repair work. Rick Burningham reported on the progress of the Panguitch Ball Park stating they are talking about putting up a fence this year and considering putting a advertising sign on the fence. He reported the boys will play in the regional tournament this year. Jerrie Fackrell reported on the progress of the Chamber of Commerce Supplement. She will tell the group the price of buying extra copies next meeting to send to those inquiring of the area. |
