Show Cannonville nttv Henderson I7MS2 Gr Johnsen, LehJ and Mr. and Mrs. Ven Johnson, Yerrtagton, Nevada have been here visiting their parents, Irving and Daisy Johnson. Iriving is at home again after a few days at Garfield Memorial Hospital. Alice Dunham is back home now. Her daughter, Margaret Braithwaite brought her home In time for the March 17 Relief Society party. Small children playing with matches started a fire in the dry grass and it quickly spread through the orchard belonging to Melda Davis. The menfolk aided by the Lion's club fire truck worked to get it under control. Extent of damage to the orchard is not known at this time. John and Charlotte Mathews, Page, Aril, were home to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Hughes and Mr. and Mrs. Don Mangum. Juanita Stratton and Joy Nelson visited with Bert and Anna Stock one afternoon this week. Dawn Stock was in Garfield Memorial Hospital for minor surgery. She is at home and feeling quite well. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Palmer and children; John Fletcher have been here visiting their parents, Bishop and Marva Fletcher. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Christenson and family spent the afternoon visiting Mandy and Aerial Fletcher. Patty and Missy stayed behind for an extended visit. Relief Society Sisters and their guests enjoyed a lovely dinner and program in honor of their centennial birthday on March 17. It was well attended and everyone had a good time. Margaret Braithwaite, Alice Dunham and La Vera Moss went to Cedar City on Thursday morning so La Vera could check with her doctor. Melda Davis accompanied Les and Shirley Baker to Springville. They will visit Sharron Jenson and her family. Kent Henderson, Salt Lake City spent this week visiting his sister, Beatrice Dutton. Also at the Dutton home were Mr. and Mrs. Jody Ilea ton, Sprtngdale; Mr. and Mrs. Melvln Dutton and family, Frcdonia. Gretha and Desmond Twit-chell went to Salt Lake City to sec Monty off on the plane for I his mission to Independence, Missouri. Aerial and Mandy Fletcher went to Junction to pick up some furniture and to visit Mandy's sister. Doug and Vaughn Twitchell went to Provo to attend the State High School Basketball tournament and the NCAA finals. Mae Twitchell made a fast trip to Salt Lake City on Monday. Gwen and Dave Evans have been in Salt Lake City and I Ogden this past week to celebrate Dave's birthday and visit friends and relatives in the area. Guests at George and Ada Thompsons and to attend sacrament meeting to hear Joe give his mission report to the ward were: Rachel and Riley Peebles, Leo and Julia Hall, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Gillis and daughter, Pleasant Grove; Guy Thompson family; Virginia Smith and Connie Kleese and children, Henrieville; Mr. and Mrs. Richards, Fielding, Utah. The Richards are parents of one of Joe's missionary companions. |
