Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair C79-8648 Delia and Clyde R. Bybee spent the weekend in Tropic visiting Mrs. John Mecham and Ella Bybee. Cloyd Mecham also visited with his mother. Mr. and Mrs. Afton Pollock attended funeral services for their brother-in-law in Springdale. He was the husband of Mrs. Pollock's sister, LuAnn. Janet and Ellis LeFevre were In Tropic on business. They visited Flora LeFevre and the Berdell Barton's while here. Sara Littlefield accompanied Wallace and Mary Ott to Salt Lake City during the week. Viva Mecham was in Panguitch and Hatch during the week. The snowstorm that we had Friday gave us needed moisture, but some found it hard to be without power for over thirteen hours. Roads were slick enough that several persons attempting to travel out of town found themselves in their cars off the road. The Jack Pollocks received word of the birth of a grandson to their daughter, Jackie and husband in Boise, Ida. Feb. 13 and 17 will be days for our stake to attend LDS Temple sessions in St. George. Arnold Adair and the Wallace Otts, Keela Mangum and several other Tropic people were in Cedar City on business. John Niemann was up in the northern part of the state this past week for job interviews. Vickie Ahlstrom enjoyed a visit from her parents, two brothers and their friend. Gwen Brinkerhoff held a tupperware party at her home. DelRae Pollock was a patient in the Garfield Memorial Hospital in Panguitch for four days. Melford Ahlstrom is a patient in the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Bill and Stacey Pollock spent the weekend with the Larvin Pollocks. Sharrie Garrett went to Salt Lake City this week. The Duane Stewarts are visiting Carol's mother in California. Jeff Croom visited at the home of Katie Thomas. He is enrolled at the BYU this term. Roy Chlarson was home for the weekend. Glenna Pollock had a quilting party at the home of Shirley Haycock during the week. E. R. and Dixie Shakespear were in Salt Lake City for medical care. Randall Lyman, Ivan Willis and President Chas. Shurts were the speakers in sacrament meeting. Juanita and Marion Pollock furnished a musical number. Carma Barton was released as 2nd Counselor, Florence Syrett as secretary in the Relief Socity, Erma Wintch as Social Relations teacher. Sustained were Carma Barton as 1st Counselor, Florence Syrett as 2nd Counselor, and Mira Loy Ott as Social Relations teacher. Norma Chlarson was sustained as 1st Counselor and Shaunna Anderson as 2nd Counselor in the Primary. |
