Club members as BV High Notes Vocational Education Week Programs TROPIC Vocational-technical education plays an Important role in the educational programs of students attending Bryce Valley High School in the Garfield School District The week of February 8-14 has been established as National Vocational Education Week to help inform the public of the various Vocational-Technical offerings at the Bryce Valley I Ugh School and to recognize the Vocational-Technical Teachers that are doing such a great job In helping to prepare our young people for their lifelong careers. At Bryce Valley High School, vocational courses are offered in shorthand, office practice, housing and home furnishings, family realtions, home making, intergrated shop programs and industrial arts curriculum programs. The vocational-technical teachers who instruct and have a great Influence on them are: Mrs. Karen Ott, Mrs. Ella Adir and Mr, Afton Pollock. Bryce Valley High School principal George M. Jolley feels that Vocational-Technical Education programs are playing an Increasing role in the lives of our young people. These programs should be expanded to meet our growing needs. well as Individuals from throughout central and southern Utah joined with the Panguitch group for the annual evevt. The boards of education, administrators and all others who help to make vocational-technical education successful and to make it possible for students to prepare for a career of their choosing are congratulated and encouraged to continue their support to provide meaningful, relevant, educational opportunities for youth and adults of our communities. |
