Panguitch Patter Betty Browtv-t7t-8S Grace McAllister is visiting her son, Art and family in Idaho Falls for a month and Betty Brown, her sister will be reporting the news while she is gone. Del in and Gwen Crofts were here from Vernal for Chet Croft's benefit dance and stayed in Hatch with her parents, the Charles Evans. I ret a and Ted Anderson, Cottonwood, Ariz., grandparents of Chet Crofts were also here for the dance. All of the Crofts families, Richard and Marian, Carolyn and Kent Miller, Panguitch, Delin and Gwen Crofts, Vernal and their families and Ireta and Ted Anderson, Cottonwood, Ariz., went to Pennies Pond for a cookout Saturday. Dr. David McNils and wife, Gladis and boys, Las Vegas and her sister Gretchen Hau, Maryland visited Jim and Ruby Myers. Also visiting were Jim's two nephews, Champ Myers, Santa Clara, Calif, and Ray Myers, Mona. Mr. and Mrs. Don Smoot, Elva and Marion Clark, St. George visited. Tuesday, Ruby Myers and Opal Barrett made a trip to Cedar City to the eye doctor. Julie and Joe McMullin, Washington had a seven pound ten ounce girl. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Owens, Panguitch and Mr. and Mrs. Marion McMullin, Siguard. Marilyn and Gerald V eater were home from St. George for the weekend. Kim Soper and Rick Bur-ningham have gone to California for a month to help fight the fire in Escondido. DeLoa and Gilbert Reed, North Hollywood, Calif, spent five days with her sister, the Ruland Prince's. Friday, the Reeds, Dr. Elwyn Cameron, Las Vegas, Nev., a brother and Fay Ella spent the day touring the Excalante and Boulder country. Verdee and Juanita Deuel stopped by the Princes Saturday evening to report on Mildred Deuel whom they took over to Cedar City to spend some time with the Rett Shakespear family. Mildred is doing as well as can be expected. Monday, Mr. and Mrs. Vander Nelson, Cedar City stopped in to Rulon Princes for a visit. They hadn't seen the Nelsons since 1959. Randy Brown was home with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merwin Brown over the weekend from his job in Wyoming. Mrs. Bell Cooper is visiting the Don Rosenburgs, Tooele. Mr. and Mrs. Denny Orton spent the weekend in St. George Visiting the Joe McMullins. Donna and Jimmy Johnson went to St. George to get Jimmy's broken hand set and visited the Wallace Ortons, Cedar City and brought Alta Orton home. Alta was taking care of the new baby of the Wallace Ortons. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Marshall visited their children in Provo for a week. The Earl Roes went up Friday to attend the reception for retiring Chief Scout Executive, Floyd Loveridge and brought the Earl Marshalls home with them. Mrs. Von DeLange, Orem is visiting her sisters Mary Reid and Florence McEwen. Mrs. i Nyal Miller and Elma Haycock also visited with them Sunday ' Thirty members of the I Panguitch Stake Special In-l terest Group met September 25 l at the chapel. They went to I Cedar Breaks for a picnic. I Mrs. Rula Houston, Salt Lake City is visiting the Dan Tebbs , Jr. and is tending the children I while Danny and Karen are out l of town. I Mrs. Dan Tebbs (Nedra) is in Salt Lake City where she had l surgery on her foot. She is ) recuperating and doing fine The Lloyd Millets and children, Kanab visited the Don Green's over the weekend. The stake Relief Society is going to Salt Lake City to Relief Society conference. Those attending from here are Barbara Ilea ton, Elizabeth Foy, Verda Tebbs and Naileen Haywood. Mary Lee has returned home after a months visit with relatives, J. R. and Elalnore Judd, Atlanta, Wyo. and Dick and Donnie Lee in Syracuse. She also visited Margaret Haycock in Ogden and reports that she really misses all her friends. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Judd returned home last week after spending sometime visiting their children, the Larry Garners, West Point; the Leland Beckstrom, Tooele; and Elise Heaps, Orem. They all met the J. R. Judds, Lander, Wyo. in the Provo park for a family reunion and honored Reed on his birthday. Gloria and Walley Henrie Salina got a seven pound three ounce girl with lots of dark curley hair. The grandparents are Neucille and Champ Henrie and A. Frank and Gwen Orton all from Panguitch. Usher J. Dorthory Henrie, Richfield Joined Keith and Rosemond Henrie from Panguitch in a trip to California to visit Fern and Arthur Sevy and family in Escondido, Calif. They spent time sight seeing and visiting celebrated Keith and Rosemonds wedding anniversary. Champ and Neucille Henrie and Keith and Rosemond Henrie went to Spanish Fork Sunday to listen to their brother Roy and his wife Wanda Henrie speak in sacrament meeting prior to their departure to Idaho Falls, Ida. The Garfield County Farm Bureau annual banquet and election is scheduled for November 1. James H. Hatch encourages everyone to reserve this date. Floyd and Mary Barney and Charles and Marie Barney, all from Kanab were here Sunday to see Bruce Barney bless and name his and Lis's new son. The name he received was Derek Barney. Erna Riggs went to Norman, Okla., to the Oklahoma University for a two week schooling at the 'Management Training Seminar'. She also did lots of sight seeing on her trip. Bishop Frank Henrie gave his grandson a blessing and the name of Wayne Steven Simkins and confirmed Scott Simkins, another grandson, a member of the LDS Church. Both boys are the sons of Tom and Coleen Simkins. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Henrie had a family dinner Sunday with their children, Ron and Julie Henrie and Tom and Coleen Simkins, all from Panguitch, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald (Duff) Mitchell, Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Green, Cedar City and their families. Ron and Julie Henrie' s son was given a blessing and the name, Ronald Chet by Ron's father, Howard Hatch. Jack Cameron, Granger spent the weekend with his grandmother. Celeste Talbot.
