Show P-TA Holds Initial Meet The Panguitch-Hatch Elementary Parent-Teachers Assn. Board held their first meeting of the year last Thursday and elected the new officers and discussed their plans for the coming year. The new board includes president, Janis Henrie; first vice president, Judy Henrie; second vice president. Candle Klein secretary-treasurer, Imogene Killian Com-missionars are: education, Elaine Mattews; health and welfare, Carmen Kuebits; individual development, Marilyn Brinkerhoff; finance, Debra McKee; service, Pat Thomas and Pam Christensen; membership; Sharon Duncan; Bruce Owens and Hazel Hatch represent the teachers. The regional representative over this area is Barbara Bauer. The Panguitch-Hatch Middle School and the Panguitch-Hatch High School PTA presidency have been elected for the school year of 1975-76 and the commissioners will be named at a later date. The president is Margaret Harding; first vice President, Opal Miller; second vice president, Joan Howard; and secretary and treasure is Sarah Kay. The first Panguitch-Hatch Middle and High School PTA board meeting will be held Monday afternoon. Persons desiring to serve with the PTA may call Margaret Harding at 676-2679. "We feel this can be a great year but we need the support of all the parents. Your children need you and the help you can give to the PTA," Mrs. Janis Henrie stressed. The goals of the PTA are: to promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, church and community. to raise the standards of home life. to secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth. -to bring into closer relation the honie and the school that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the training of Uw child. to develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure for every child the highest advantages In physicial, mental, social and spiritual education. |
