Show Earl Worthington Retires After 36 Years Service With Forest T. Earl Worthington of Panguitch, will retire from the U. S. Forest Service as of March 26, 1965, completing 36 years in Government service, thirty of those years under Civil Service. Mr. Worthington began his career in Government in 1928 on the Uintah National Forest where he remained 16 years. Subsequently, he transferred to the Grazing Service as a grazier in the Moab and Vernal areas. In 1948, Mr. Worthington joined the National Park Service at Arches National Monument in Moab where he was engaged as park ranger. A highlight of this tour of duty was his designa- T. Earl Worthington tion as guide for the National Geographic Expedition into Monument Valley. He was then transferred to Mesa Verde National Park at Colorado as Supervisory Park Ranger where he served 5M years. Since 1956, Mr. Worthington has. been with the Dixie National Forest as Construction and Maintenance Supervisor working out of the Supervisor's Office at Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Worthington plan to make their home in Ne-phi later this year. The Wor-thlngtons have two daughters, Mrs. Paul Bull of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Alice who is on the Nursing Staff of the LDS Hospital In Provo. |
