He spoke in the Liberty 1st Ward on June 23. Cassie and Ron Cody Sorenson of Eden had a baby boy on May 28. Birthdays Lu Skinner Lu Skinner, a nineteen year resident of Eden, will celebrate her 70th birthday on Friday, June 28. Lu is the mother of six children; grandmother of twelve and great-grandmother of five. She enjoys boating at Lake Powell, watching the soap operas, reading the National Enquirer and skydiving. A birthday party will be held in her honor at the George S. Eccles Dinosaur Park. Nathan Ross Bastow Elder J.D. Judd, son of Jeff and Melanie Judd of Eden, has been called to serve in the San Jose, California Mission. He will speak in the Liberty 3rd Ward on June 30 at 2:50 p.m. He departs for his mission on July 10th. Quist-Tippets Jocelynn E. Quist and Joel R. Tippets were united in marriage Friday, May 31, in the Logan LDS Temple. A brunch was held in their honor at the Coppermill Restaurant in Logan. The bride is the daughter of Farley W. and Judy M. Quist of Liberty. Parents of the bridegroom are Ashby and Susan Tippets of Lyman, Wyo. She served an LDS Mission in the Dominican Republic. In the fall semester, she will graduate from the University of Utah with a degree in fine arts. He served an LDS Mission in Brazil. He graduated from USU with a degree in finance and works for Nutraceutical Corp. The new couple will live in Ogden after their honeymoon in Sun Valley. Anderton-Wright Returning Missionaries Elder Rob Story, son of Chuck and Dixie Story of Eden, served in the Argentina Bahia Blanca Mission. Mindy Nicole Anderton and Martin Steven Wright were united in marriage Friday, June 14, in the Bountiful LDS Temple. A reception was held in their honor at the Anderton residence. The bride is the daughter of Eric and Sharon Anderton of Morgan. Parents of the bridegroom are Diane Wright of San Martin, Calif., and Lee and Nancy Wright of Riverton. The bride attends Weber State University in the dental hygiene program in her fifth year of college. The bridegroom served an LDS Mission in the Dominican Republic from 1995-1997. He attended four years at Utah Valley State College and attends WSU, pursuing a bachelor”s degree in criminal law. The new couple will live in Huntsville after their honeymoon in California. Skinner-Owen Bruce Owen and Janine Skinner were married June 3, in Beverly, Mass. The bride is the daughter of Cheryl Mathieu of Walkertown, N.C. and Frank W. Skinner Jr. of Hampshire, U.K. The bridegroom is the son of Betty Moulton and Wayne Owen of Roy. The bride is employed by the Internal Revenue Service. The groom is employed at Hill Air Force Base. The couple will live in Liberty, after their honeymoon to Lake Powell. |
