Fielding, 88, died Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at his home of causes incident to age. He was born March 16, 1914 in Hooper, a son of David and Mary Higley Fielding. He was reared and educated in Idaho. On December 13, 1932, Earl married Willena Madsen in Goshen, Idaho. Their vows were later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He moved to Huntsville in 1937 and to Ogden in 1961. He returned to Huntsville in 2000. Earl was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he was a High Priest. He served as a Bishop’s Counselor, Executive Secretary, High Priest Group Leader and in various other callings. He was a warehouse foreman at Defense Depot Ogden retiring in 1972. He received numerous awards for work performance and ethics. Earl was a member of the Shelley, Idaho Farm Bureau Baseball Team. He was also a member of the Saddle Tramps Riding Club and the Jolly Boys Card Club. In the early 1950’s he cofounded the Ogden Valley Cutter and Racing Association. Earl’s other interests included bowling, golfing, fishing, traveling and spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Willena, of Huntsville; children, Betty and Donald Anderson, Leon and Dorothy Fielding, and Reed and Tonya Fielding, all of Huntsville; Mary and Jeff Clontz, Eden; Clyde and Dalene Fielding, North Ogden; 23 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 14 great-greatgrandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Entombment, Good Shepherd Abbey Mausoleum at Lindquist”s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd. The family wishes to thank Home Health Care and Hospice for the special care they rendered. Email condolences to the family at: lom@lindquistmortuary.com Mary W. Wight LIBERTY - Mary Willard Wight, 88, died Thursday, June 13, 2002 in Brigham City. Mary was born December 7, 1913 in Liberty, a daughter of Thomas George and Etta Atkinson Willard. She married Owen Billingsley. They were later divorced. She married Irving J. Wright. Irving preceded her in death in 1978. Mary was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she served as Secretary in the Sunday School, President of the Young Womens, Relief Society Visiting Teacher, and Patron in the Ogden Temple. She worked at Intermountain Knitting and retired from Defense Depot Ogden in 1990. Mary was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. Surviving one brother and two sisters, Lloyd (Verena) Willard, Liberty; Fay Hogge, Ogden; Dorothy (Gene) Sanders, Liberty; one sister-in-law, June Willard; many nieces and nephews; one stepson and two stepdaughters, Douglas Wight, Geniel Fowler and Judy Mitchell. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Glen Willard and Parley Willard; and one sister, Emma Taylor. Funeral services were held at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 North Washington Blvd. Interment, Liberty Cemetery. Email condolences to the family at: lom@lindquistmortuary.com Peter D. Bealba EDEN – Peter D. Bealba, 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2002 at Ogden Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Pete was born July 31, 1944 in Alameda, California to Michael and Garnetta LeMessuer Bealba. He married Sandra Lee Brown and later divorced. He married Barbara Kolean on February 14, 1981 in Ogden. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam Pete Bealba War, serving in the U.S. Army.
