It is Christmas in the cottage, Mothers filling little socks. It is Christmas on the highway, in the thronging, busy mart; but the dearest truest Christmas is the Christmas in the heart. by Corlnna Marsh Weve put away the ornaments and burned the Christmas tree; the Christmas fun is over but, the Christ Child, where is he? He lives in gifts and toys we share with children who have few, and in the acts of kindness we do the whole year through. 1 1 pkg. gingerbread cookie and cake mix 1 G applesauce legg 14 G water 12 G raisins 12 G nuts (chopped) Heat oven to 350 degrees, grease and flour 13x9x2 pan. Mix first four ingredients well. Sit in the raisins and the nuts. Spread in the pan. Bake 22 to 25 minutes. Spread with the glaze when completely cool. Cut into 48 2x1 inch bars. Note: For high elevation, use 2 eggs and bake at 375 degrees for 22 to 25 minutes. Remove from the pan and seree warm. It says, "Take 10 cents worth of this, a pennys worth of that, a pinch of salt, then (hit or miss) just add a little fat."
