Racker, Bountiful, is one of a very small group of landscape architects chosen by jury to be a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), the highest form of membership in that professional society. He joins the late Karsten Hansen of Salt Lake City and Kenji Shiozawa, Ogden, as the only landscape architects from - group. Fellows are ASLA members recognized for their outstanding contributions to the profession. Mr. Racker was nominated by the Utah Chapter ASLA as one of our most valued, dedicated and distinguished practitioners whose extraordinary dedication and talent are manifested in his executed works and service to the Society. Mr. Racker s design imprint can be seen in some of Utahs most distinctive landscapes, including the Delta Center plaza; Abravanel Hall and the Utah Arts Center, Northwest Energy Corporation headquarters in Research Park; American Stores Corporate headquarters on South Temple in Salt Lake City; and Stein Eriksen Lodge, Park City. His Elda Stocks of Bountiful will celebrate her 80th birthday on Construction and Management, Mr. Racker is also principal of his own design and planning firm in Bountiful. Cited for his distinctive use of design gifts are as manifest on a forms and a shrewd understanding Mr. Racker has been a consistent and outspoken champion of the green industry and a special advocate for landscape architects and their role in the design community.
