Show EMERY A public meeting was held last Sunday Sun-day evening by the Mutuals. An excellent ex-cellent program was given, but a very small audience out to hear it. The excellent lecture given by. Prof. Byron W. King was almost a failure so far as an audience was concerned. However, many were excused on account ac-count of not being informed of his visit. Mrs. B. J. Peacock, Sr., and A. J. Broderick were bait Lake visitors during the fair and conference. Under the auspices of the Relief Society, a social was held at the home of Mrs. B. J. Peacock, Jr., last Friday afternoon. After lunch was served and each sister present had contributed her mite they departed to their homes, feeling well paid for their afternoon's vacation. Alma Broderhk and Edgar Williams' have gone to Provo to attend the B. Y. U. and Misses Rubv and Venice Williams Wil-liams have gone to Castledale to attend I the E. S. A. Mr. Homer Bunce is visiting with his sister, Mrs. Luella Christenson. It is over 15 years since he was here last, when he made his home here. He notices a great many marked changes and improvements in our community. Mrs. Hannah Ralphs and Mrs. Mina Hansen of Ferron visited our Relief society on Thursday. |
